collin & cade

a former co-worker of mine (now stay-at-home mommy), lorina, saw some of my new pics on facebook and booked a shoot for her and her two adorable little boys...cade, the oldest, was lively and fun and a little impatient with the whole picture thing...after five minutes and saying "cheese" on cue like a good little boy, he asked if we were done...collin, the youngest, was one of the most mild-tempered one-year-olds i've ever seen...he was super content...not too many smiles out of him, but there's always a trade-off right?  here they are...and edited with the new luminosity actions (the essence and the artisan) from paint the moon photography!

kyleigh ray

on our way to chick-fil-a one friday evening, we stopped to take pictures of this doll...miss kyleigh...such a cheeser and as cute as they come...

babies in suitcases?

so rebecca was in search for a vintage suitcase...well, i found an old accordion case...practically the same thing right?  we've carried it to two newborn shoots with high hopes of that vintage shot, but it's always last on the props list...so we put her child in it :) 

robert monroe

another newborn shoot thanks to rebecca (it's always good to know people who know people)!  robert monroe was super awake baby #3...but he did pretty fabulous...we also got about 10 minutes of sleepy time from this precious one...

baby payne

payne was only my second newborn shoot...thankfully rebecca is always on the lookout for photog opportunities!  this experience was a little different than my first...this precious child was awake for almost the entire session...we learn more when things don't go so easy...luckily baby payne slept for about 15 to 20 minutes, and rebecca was able to pose him so fantastically on all of our new props!
